Our first foray into our industry ‘Oscars’ and we scooped two golds!

Firstly for ‘Thank You Darling: Reversing the Cider Tax’ - our entry in the Public Affairs category.This was for our lobbying work on behalf of the National Association of Cider Makers, which resulted in Alistair Darling dropping the proposed tax increase on cider.

The CIPR said: “The campaign used traditional public affairs methods, media relations and also exploited opportunities presented through social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. The judges were impressed with the way in which the campaign skillfully presented the case for cider. The campaign objectives were met, as the proposals were subsequently dropped.”

We also won Gold for Best Microsite or Website for The judges said: “Continental Tyres wanted to promote its brand as the voice of the tyre industry and a leader in terms of motoring safety. It commissioned Inside Media to deliver a micro-site that addressed tyre safety issues, resulting in the site. A tyre check should take no more than three minutes at the most and, following research, a simple easy-to-follow site was created giving step-by-step guidance. Using cartoons to demonstrate the stages, with links to further information, the micro-site supports the Continental message well. This was an impressive achievement.”
